I’ve just read only a part of Cyndi Lauper’s biography. You know, I’m astonished how she managed to became such a person - a songwriter and singer, who won Grammy and Ammy Awards. She was born in 1953, so she is pretty old now, but she did a lot for music - and she did her best - I’m sure of this. She released 11 albums and more than 40 singles. Now, having read her biography (just about her childhood and her early youth), she reminds me of Avril Lavigne. She is also vigorous, ready to sacrifice, she is happy and satisfied with life (at least she tries to persuade her listeners in that - and she is successful in her attempt) - in spite of her not really good childhood (divorce of parents, second marriage of her mother and second divorce, problems with vocal cords, when she damaged them and a year later, when she again gained her voice, the breakup of her music band and many other problems she had). I can write a lot of my impressions made by her singing, but be sure - “Time After Time” is one of her masterpieces Time After Time mp3 ringtone is also one.

In January 9, 2007 there was released a CD with soundtracks for the movie “Freedom Writers” (a film which got a final rating PG-13 - Parents Strongly Cautioned - by the Motion Picture Association of America because of the content, which is not appropriate for children under 13). The genre of Freedom Writers (soundtrack) is hip-hop. It is composed from 16 hip-hop songs of the 90’s. Among them were two songs written by W. Adams and performed by will.i.am, whos real name is William James Adams, Jr. He is Jamaican American musician, dancer, fashion designer, songwriter and founding member and frontman of Black Eyed Peas. He has his own labels among which is will.i.am music group. will.i.am was attending the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising in 2001 and later decided to create his own clothing line. “Bus Ride” is one of his two songs included into “Freedom Writers” CD and really deserves to be called one of the best. Celine Dion’s song “Taking Chances” was included into the album with the same name, which was released in 2007 on CD and DVD. Actually, it’s already a 35th album of Celine Dion and at the same time her thirteenth English language album. The songstress was born in Canada (she is French-speaking), became a singer and actress (she starred in “Touched by an Angel” - it’s a good movie without any doubt). She proved herself to be a great pop and rock singer. To the end of 2007 she sold almost 3.5 million copies of this album. She is extremely popular in Canada, where she even was number one on some pop-music charts. Ennio Morricone is a very talented composer. He is mainly known for his film crores arrangement (more than 500 films). Ennio Morricone is a successful composer - he sold more than 25 million records including film crores, singles and other compilations. He composed his first movie soundtrack for the film Death of a Friend, which was produced in 1959 (long time ago). In 2008 he composed and arranged scores for Capone Rising, Leningrad, The Son of Dawn movies. When I started to post on this blog I thought that it would be boring to deal all the time with the same topics, but I was mistaken!!! I was completely mistaken!!! Every day I find something interesting - different bands playing different music styles, and all of them are unique to some extent - they are different in spite of the similar style. Today I’ve downloaded an mp3 ringtone by Air. It’s a French music band playing electronica, downtempo, ambient, and trip hop. Actually, it’s a duo - Nicolas Godin and Jean-Benoît Dunckel. Their style is unique - personally I don’t remember another band playing the same music. And this mp3 People In The City ringtone is calm and pleasant, and very relaxing. Besides, you can feel that some psychedelic rock bands influenced Air (for example, Pink Floyd). Anyway, this ringtone is great!

James Bond 007 - the hero, which was created by Ian Fleming. I read a few books about James Bond, but I can’t say that books (as it is almost always considered) are better than movies. I saw no difference between movie and book at all - the same expression of characters, the same pictures could have been imagined in your mind without the help of movies, having only read words from the book. Of course, it was interesting to watch movie, but one of the most valuable thing in that film was one soundtrack - that mysterious one, when you hear the sounds of the guitar and horn (it was played as a background music almost always before every episode, full of danger, when James Bond was sneaking somewhere with a gun in his hand). It is long time ago I watched Hercules cartoon - one of the best Disney cartoons I’ve ever watched. The most unforgettable things were the soundtracks to the cartoon. I tried to find them on CD, but all my attempts failed very soon. And now I’ve got the best soundtrack of the whole film on my cell phone I’m really happy, but I couldn’t keep myself in hand and decided to watch the video again It really raises my spirits. It has soothing, calming, restful, reassuring melody and the song is sang with a pleasant voice. This animated film was released in 1997 and at once become pupular not only among children, but also among grow-ups. And only recently I found out, that this soundtrack was included into the green disc of Disney’s Greatest Hits.

Today I downloaded Underworld’s “Dinosaur Adventure 3D” mp3 ringtone, but was a little bit disappointed, cause I expected it, at first, to be some strange sounds from the other world (for example, from Hell full of burning hot red lava, with dinosaurs’ outcries and so on). But it turned out to be a British electronic music band (it’s a duet of Karl Hyde and Rick Smith). Actually, this band have nothing to do with nature sounds, but deals with such genres as electronic, techno, progressive house, progressive trance, alternative dance (which may, of course, sometimes use nature sounds in their tracks). “Dinosaur Adventure 3D” was included into the album “A Hundred Days Off” released in 2002. However, “Dinosaur Adventure 3D” mp3 ringtone is not bad.

Recently on TV I saw the announcement of “Dirty Dancing” movie. I remember that a few years ago this movie was really popular (and it is a really old film - released in 1987). The same year it gained its peak pupularity and became number one. Now it remains well-known almost to everybody because of its soundtracks (the first CD with “Dirty Dancing” songs was released in 1990, and the final release was in 2008). Nowadays you can download mp3 ringtones for you cell. It was a hit movie and its soundtracks also belonged to favorites. One of them is Bruce Channel’s “Hey Baby” (I’ve found an mp3 ringtone of this song). Really old, really popular and may be even called immortal song from an immortal movie.

Oooops… I’ve come across the official melody of the 2006 FIFA World Cup (it was just a prewiev of mp3 ringtone with the same name). Actually, it’s a remix done by RedOne. He is a well-known producer, who became very popular because of this FIFA World Cup Hip-Hop Remix. The name of RedOne’s work (remix) is “Hips don’t lie” and it was performed by Shakira (I think it’s not necessary to explain to whom this name belongs) and Wyclef Jean (she is some Haitian superstar rapper). The original song was included into Shakira’s album “Oral Fixation Vol.2″. During 2006 World Cup this song could be heard very often Maybe, it’s a high time to recollect its sounding
